Our awesome story
Established in 1999 on Riccarton Road by entrepreneur Bernard Wong and chef Tony Chin (Yamagen, Sala Sala, Vesuvio and Samurai restaurant). Together with Bernard’s business plans and concept and chef Tony’s expertise in Japanese cuisine, they have started one of the most reputable and busiest Teppan-Yaki Japanese restaurants in Christchurch today. With their second franchise just opened in April 2011 at Ferrymead.
@Tony’s is also the only original and first Teppan-Yaki restaurant to offers all you can eat Teppan Yaki on weeknights from Monday to Thursday.
@Tony’s operates lunch and dinner where traditional set lunches are all $15 and dinners mains from $30.
@Tony’s also offers a variety of great local and imported wines as well as sake and spirits including Japanese single malt whisky.
@Tony’s only use the freshest ingredients of fish, beef, chicken, vegetables and fruits from local suppliers. We are also an allergies conscious restaurant where most of our Teppan Yaki dishes can be done gluten-free or dairy-free. We will try our best to meet all dietary requirements.
